Crypteks Ultra Secure USB Drive

AppId is over the quota
AppId is over the quota

With USB flash drives getting more and more popular, people are using them as the most convenient means to store all their files. But with this convenience and easy access can have some limits as it can be easy for other people to get even to your own personal and private files, if they are not protected when stored into a flash drive. For those who may wish to have an ultra secure flash drive of sorts, they can have this interesting Crypteks USB Drive.

The Crypteks Ultra Secure USB Drive may be unlike any other USB flash drives out there in terms of data protection. It comes with a special cryptex casing, the one popularized in the movie “The Da Vinci Code”.  The housing is a solid aluminum alloy cylinder with several twisting lettered tumblers. Users need to first get the right tumbler alignment in order to get access to the USB flash drive housed inside it. This first level protection is quite hard enough to crack since it can have 14,348,907 potential combinations.

And in the case that someone may be lucky enough to crack the combination to the cryptex housing, the flash drive is still protected with 256-bit AES hardware encryption. It also comes with a secondary password that also needs to be cracked to get access to the files. The Crypteks USB Drive is available in 4GB, 6GB and 16GB flash drives. It is expected to be available anytime this December and is expected to cost US$130 to US$160 for the 8GB and the 16GB flash drive, respectively.
